Austrian weird/post black metal act BRÅND returns with the second single taken from their upcoming debut album Tåg & Nåcht.
If previous Födweg was one angular blackened post-punk obsessive hit, Da Erste Stern is a longer, slower, rising jam that melts traces of 70’s German krautrock and Berlin school into a heavy metal cast, juxtaposing pagan lyricism and almost new age enchantment for the entire six minutes. The sound is crunchier and warmer than ever, and the overall feeling of this is precisely as much dreamy and mystic as supreme.
